We’re happy to announce that one of our adult possums who has been in care was able to be released the other night.

Oliver was found sitting in a pot plant and the home owner called it into the RSPCA. The vets found that he had a fracture in his leg, and so he came into our care to allow the bone time to fix itself. After a few weeks in a confined area, Oliver was able to be put into a larger enclosure and gain the strength back in his leg needed before release.

The wonderful people who found him were happy to have him back, and even made a possum box for him to live in. We returned him to them last night and he was able to be released back into his own territory where he should be, home sweet home.
